About TallowHead

TallowHead began as a result of wanting to create our own tallow-based products. We are doers and try to be self-sufficient wherever possible, so we embraced the challenge of creating our own tallow-based products. So, I got to work and began learning how to create my own skincare products using tallow as the base for its many benefits. As I began creating more products and sharing with friends and family, I quickly learned that many others were on the same endeavor, but maybe didn't have the time or means to make their own products and began requesting that I make surplus of whatever it was I was making so they would be able to purchase for themselves and their families. Thus, TallowHead was born. 

My name is Chelsey and I'm a homesteading momma' of five. My husband Cameron and I strive for self sufficiency on our homestead and wherever possible and within our means, we create from scratch.

When it comes to sourcing the tallow we use in our products, we try and obtain our tallow locally and ensure it is grass-fed and grass-finished. With regard to the other ingredients, we source organic as best as we possibly can. The way we see it, the closer to nature, the better.

All products are hand-poured in small batches. We are a team of two, and our attention to detail is a hallmark demarcation of ours. We strive to use organic ingredients to the best of our ability, try to avoid polyunsaturated fatty acids, and try to focus on the 'whole' and natural ends for our products.
